The islands of Porquerolles ( Hyeres Islands ) are four but there two main: Ile de Porquerolles and Ile de Port Cross . The island of Porquerolles offers sheltered anchorage on the north coast where you can drop anchor and enjoy the beautiful nature that these beautiful islands offer .

Visit the islands

Upon arrival at the port of Porquerolles, for those who like biking, there is the possibility to rent bicycles. Starting from the port you can choose from two routes: one leads to the west coast and is a little more challenging and for sporty people. The other runs to the east coast, it is less demanding but no less beautiful.

A romantic walk immersed in pristine nature

For those who prefer to walk, a walk to the old lighthouse is always a romantic option, full of beautiful landscapes. The beaches are on both sides of the island. On the eastern side you will find the beaches of Courtade and Notre Dame. These are both beautiful, with turquoise water and fine white beach.

Here the presence of the pines gives scent of nature and cool shade during the hottest hours. Walking west you will meet “La plage d’Argent” (Silver Beach) and going straight the “Langoustier Noire” beach.

Isle de Port Cros

Ile de Port Cros is a protected nature reserve with strict rules for the preservation of the environment. The island is mountainous and wild , and also true paradise for snorkelling . Do not miss the underwater trail (Sentier sous- marin ) on the north side of the island , which allows you to swim for 30 /40 minutes and observe the lush underwater life. For diving lovers we suggest a visit to the island de “la Gabinière.

On the Ile de Porto Cross you can also make excursions on foot in about 30 km of marked trails, and enjoy fantastic walks among the scents of Mediterranean plants, and the presence of butterflies and birds. Porquerolles islands are a paradise of pristine wilderness and beautiful sea with a strongly protected environment.
